With solid bones but a challenging main floor plan, this 1980s Colonial needed a "Traditional, meet Modern" vibe with three priorities: create a fresh, functional gourmet kitchen; update the family/hearth room/peninsula area; and gut the primary bath. Guest bedrooms and bathrooms, and the laundry room, were also updated. The oversized foyer became a portal to inspired new space. Hip barrel swivels, tables, lamps, and other accessories updated the expansive space into a lovely sitting room featuring a one-of-a-kind console. The kitchen was a a really fun remodel: we blew out a wall and painted everything; installed shiny new quartz countertops, fun tile, and a stylish pantry door; and new bar seating and appliances completed the look. With fresh paint on the fireplace and new furnishings to fit another awkward space, the hearth room is comfy and cozy. The powder room demo at the front entry made room for a svelte ensuite bath that speaks for itself, just off the cozy, velvety, textural serenity of the primary bedroom! This home is ready for sophisticated yet oh-so-comfy hosting and chilling!
